CONCEPT OF DFC_INDIA
Dr. Tushar D Rege is a surgeon practicing in the city of Mumbai for the past 30 years. The initial part of his practice drove him into the management of diabetic foot. As time passed by he started getting more and more involved in the practice of diabetic foot. Over a period of time, he realised that diabetic foot is not merely the treatment of the foot or the patient but holistic care catering to the patient welfare, the family needs and the socio-economic needs. With this in mind Dfc_india (DIABETIC FOOT CLINIC) was formed in the year 2007. At a simple but glittering ceremony held at Worli Mumbai on 4th November 2007, the auspicious lamp was lit by Mr. Devidas Rege and Mrs. Shakuntala Rege the parents of Dr. Tushar Rege in the presence of family members of colleagues and the staff at that time. Since then 4th November is celebrated as DFC day
This has been the basis of formation of Dfc_india (Diabetic Foot Clinic). Over a period of time a very committed team was in place which consisted of doctors, paramedic staff, dressers and conservation workers. The mission of each and every person in the clinic has been to cater to a diabetic foot patient irrespective of his social and financial abilities. With this in mind the group has been able to deliver excellent medical care to thousands of patients over the past 2 decades.
Seeing the growing need of patients and with a large increase in the footfall at the clinic, DFC Foot Clinic Pvt Limited was formed in July 2019. The aim of forming a private limited company was to organise resources and streamlining them towards fulfilling a long cherished dream of making the diabetic foot clinic a center of excellence providing care to patients across financial and social Spectra
